A Design for Success: Engineering Experts Represent Region
A NORTH EAST firm that is winning major contracts as quickly as it is recruiting new staff is among six regional business champions competing at a prestigious national awards ceremony.
Engineering design specialists, Nortech Solutions, will be vying for the Most Promising New Business accolade at this year’s British Chambers of Commerce Awards in November, after claiming the honour at the North East Business Awards earlier in the year.
The Wynyard Park firm will be one of six regional business champions on the North East Chamber of Commerce table at the prestigious London ceremony in November.
Nortech Solutions has demonstrated rapid growth in turnover, profit and employment since it was formed in April 2011, and has created 86 new jobs in its first two years.
The company provides high quality, multi-disciplined engineering design and project management service for a range of industries and contracts including: iron & steel manufacturing, oil & gas onshore and offshore, petrochemical and energy. Nortech supports key industries in the North East, UK and overseas.
The company’s principal objective is to grow by winning new contracts to organise our clients’ engineering and procurement functions and to assist in the management of projects to revitalise existing facilities.
Having secured a string of high-value contracts with blue chip firms, Nortech has gone from strength to strength and now boasts a motivated, highly-skilled workforce committed to providing excellent customer service and continuing to push the boundaries of engineering design.
Nortech has so far secured long term contracts with Paul Wurth, EnQuest, Talisman, Petrofac, Sembcorp, Jersey Gas and SSI.
NECC Chief Executive, James Ramsbotham, said: “We are taking an incredibly strong showcase of North East talent to the BCC Awards this year and all are fantastic champions for regional business.
“Nortech Solution’s growth and success is not down to luck. It is the product of a great deal of hard work, skill, experience and research. They are a genuine example of the North Eastern entrepreneurial spirit and deserve every plaudit that has been bestowed upon them.”
