Nortech Raises Thousands in Support of Local Charities
Nortech Group’s Annual Charity Golf Day & Shoot raised a staggering £5415 for two local charities, Butterwick Children’s Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Annual Charity Golf Day & Shoot was held in September at Wynyard Golf Club and saw 13 teams take to the course and battle out for the Matthew Mitchell Memorial Trophy and 3 teams of six take to the shooting range to compete for the title ‘High Gun’. /p>
The money was raised from sponsorship from customers, employees and organisations associated with Nortech with fundraising continuing well into the evening including a raffle and auction hosted by Ex-Middlesbrough Footballers Jim Platt and Bernie Slaven.
Nortech has raised over £10,000 in the last two years for local charities within the Teesside area to continue to support the invaluable work they do for the local community.
Bryan Bunn, MD of Nortech commented: “I am delighted that we are able to support two fantastic local charities within the area. Once again, over 30 businesses really got behind the Golf Day & Shoot and without them we couldn’t raise as much as we do”.
Liz Airey, Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising manager said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Nortech for supporting Macmillan once again this year and raising a fantastic £2715 for local people affected by cancer, this will go a long way to help us retain and develop services in the local area. Macmillan relies on donations to fund our services, which is why support from companies like Nortech is vital to help us make sure no one faces cancer alone.
