North East Supply Chain is bouyant
Bryan Bunn, Managing Director of Nortech Group, said: “The report is good news for the North East, which has become a critical part of the supply chain. Seventy per cent of the existing North Sea platforms were built in the region at places like Newcastle, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough. Many of the region’s engineers now work in Aberdeen due to their skillsets being much sought after in the booming industry.
“Clients appreciate that we are responsive and flexible and able to meet demand within a client-determined timescale. Smaller independently owned companies such as ours that tend to be based out of our region are far more likely to provide cost-effective and timely solutions within tight schedules. We have the ability to fast-track projects while adding and maintaining real value to the quality and delivery of the projects.” /p>
Nortech Group is an award winning engineering design and procurement service provider based at Wynyard on Teesside. Nortech has experienced rapid growth and has matured into an organisation of 86 multi-disciplined personnel, with a full complement of process, tech safety, construction, mechanical, E&I, piping and structural engineers.
Nortech is supplying its Aberdeen clients with brownfield repair and modification projects and life extension work, as they struggle to achieve their targets in an already congested Aberdeen marketplace. New heaters, caissons, accommodation modules, reverse osmosis units and deluge systems have continued to be the staple of the business, all of which have been delivered by a proactive, flexible and motivated workforce.
